Configure Connector Action: Voice

Voice connector can provide the following actions:

  • Dial a Number
  • Gather Input
  • Play a message
  • Connect Call
  • Hang Up
  • Make Outgoing Call

I. Dial a Number

Makes an outgoing call to a number.

  • REQUITED INPUTS
    • Destination Number
    • Caller ID
  • OUTPUTS
    • Dialed Transaction UUID: Transaction UUID of the dialed call.
  1. Touch Dial a Number > Click (+) icon at a position you want to add

  1. Key in Destination Number and Caller ID > Add
Caller ID must be one of your purchased numbers.

You can edit, view output, replace this action by another action or delete it if needed.

II. Gather Input

Gathers the input through the DTMF signal.

  • REQUIRED INPUTS
    • Call Transaction UUID
    • Messages to play
    • Maximum Digits Allowed
  • OUTPUTS
    • User's Input Digits
    • Call State

  1. Touch Gather Input > Click (+) icon at a position you want to add

  1. Choose input parameter: (Suggestion: Trigger Event > Incoming Call Transaction UUID)

Click dashes icon to choose outputs of previous actions:

  • Outputs of previous actions: will be at the top of the list.
  • Trigger Event: output of the initial Trigger.

*Other available parameters:

  • Execution Properties:
    • Execution Start At: the time this flow is triggered.
    • Execution UUID: execution identity number.
    • Idempotency Key.
  • Function:
    • Generate random UUID: to generate a random UUID for each action.
    • Format Datetime: to convert timestamp into a particular format.
    • Duration Between:
      • First Datetime: Execution Properties > Execution Start At.
      • Second Datetime: Function > Current Timestamp.

Other available parameters can be used for other actions only.
For each action, parameters can be different depending on your requirements.

  1. Type your messages to play to the callers

  1. Configure Maximum Digits Allowed > Add

  • Maximum Digits Allowed: maximum number of digits the callers can press.

III. Play a message

Converts text to speech and plays it back.

  • REQUIRED INPUTS
    • Call Transaction UUID
    • Message to Play
    • Language
  • OUTPUTS
    • Call State

  1. Touch Play a Message > Click (+) icon at a position you want to add

  1. Choose input parameter: (Suggestion: Trigger Event > Incoming Call Transaction UUID)

  1. Type your messages to play to the callers > Add

IV. Connect Call

Connects the call to a number.

  • REQUIRED INPUTS
    • Call Transaction UUID
    • Destination
    • Caller ID
    • Ring time
  • NO OUTPUT (keep using the initial Incoming Call Transaction UUID so no output for this action)

  1. Touch Connect Call > Click (+) icon at a position you want to add

  1. Choose input parameter: (Suggestion: Trigger Event > Incoming Call Transaction UUID)

  1. Configure Destination number, Caller ID, Ring time > Add
  • Caller ID: one of your purchased numbers.
  • Ring time: maximum ring time at destination (seconds).

V. Hang Up

Hangs up the current call.

  • REQUIRED INPUTS
    • Ongoing Call Transaction UUID
    • Transaction UUID
  • OUTPUTS
    • Call State

  1. Touch Hang Up > Click (+) icon at a position you want to add

  1. Choose input parameter (Suggestion: Trigger Event > Incoming Call Transaction UUID) > Add

VI. Make Outgoing Call

Makes an outgoing call to a number and return the transaction UUID to an external server. Usually used in Trigger: Outgoing Call API.

  • REQUIRED INPUTS
    • Destination
    • Caller ID
    • Notify URL
  • OUTPUTS
    • Dialed Transaction UUID: Transaction UUID of the dialed call.

  1. Touch Make Outgoing Call > Click (+) icon at a position you want to add

  1. Key in Destination, Caller ID and URL > Add
  • Destination: any phone number or number taken from Outgoing Call API.
  • Caller ID: your purchased number.
  • Notify URL: URL (e.g: Webhook) to send notification to.
